The IDEAL® Insulated Cable Cutter is a trusted choice for professionals, boasting double insulation and 1,000V certification for maximum safety. Designed with performance and comfort in mind, it features permanently bonded double insulated handles that allow for quick safety checks - if the inner yellow surface shows through the high-visibility orange outer coating, it’s time to replace the tool. Non-slip textured handles are designed for maximum leverage, and provide an ergonomic grip for superior control. For added safety, the grips have integrated finger guards to help reduce the risk of accidental contact with exposed metal parts. Constructed from drop-forged, high carbon steel, which is known for exceptional durability, the high-leverage design provides 40% more cutting power. The tool's curved cutting jaw is laser hardened to provide accurate cuts without distortion on wire and cable up to 2/0 copper and 4/0 aluminium. Built to withstand the toughest job site conditions, this impact-resistant tool meets ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 60 900 standards, complies with OSHA 1910.335 regulations and NFPA 70E standards, and is UL and VDE classified and certified.
